Who We Are

Welcome to The Doroti Organization for Humanitarian Services, where compassion meets action. Our organization is driven by an exempt purpose — to provide charitable and educational support for Darfuri civilians worldwide. In the spirit of making a tangible impact, we are currently focused on collecting and distributing winter clothing and household items, as well as offering translation services for Darfuri civilian refugees in the U.S.

Our Impact

Since June 2020, we have distributed crucial aid, including blankets, food, clothes, shoes, sleeping mats, and tarpaulins, benefiting 1,327 displaced families and 1,234 individuals. Your donations empower us to extend our assistance directly to those in need.

Our Initiatives

Fundraising Efforts

We are actively raising funds from the public, companies, and various levels of the US government, part of which will be donated to US aid groups assisting Darfuri civilians outside the US.

Cold Weather Assistance

We distribute used and new blankets, shoes, and other cold weather clothing to Darfuri civilians in the US at no cost.

Educational Projects

We are creating free books teaching literacy and resettlement skills in English, Arabic, and Massalit, accompanied by online videos.

Translator Support

Our membership provides a free list of translator contact information for Darfuri civilians in the United States.

The Urgency

The violence in the greater El Geneina and Kereneik areas has left 83,049 people displaced in El Geneina and 24,586 in Kereneik (International Organization for Migration's Displacement Tracking Matrix). West Darfur State faces severe food shortages, reaching crisis and emergency levels in the third quarter of 2022 (FEWSNet).
